Logging time to a charge code
Attribute each day's hours to the correct project or overhead bucket.
Logging time is the same for everyone, you included: pick the code that matches the work and enter the hours. The codes anyone sees are the ones you've assigned them.
Adding hours against a code
- Open your Timesheet.
- On the day you want to log, choose the charge code from your assigned codes.
- Enter the number of hours. Repeat to split a day across multiple codes.
Daily and period totals add up across every code, so you can see at a glance whether a day is fully accounted for.
Splitting a day
A single day can hold several entries: for example, 6 hours to a client project and 2 hours to an internal meeting. Add a row per code.
Logging time off
Time off is a charge code too. A leave code like PTO is an indirect code linked to a leave bank; log time off against it the same way you log any other hours, with no separate request to file. Those hours draw down that bank's balance on your timesheet, and each bank keeps its own, so Holiday hours never eat into PTO.
