When a standard report doesn't answer your exact question, a custom report lets you assemble your own.
Building a report
A custom report is defined by a few choices:
- What to group by — for example by person, by charge code, or by period.
- What to measure — such as hours or spend.
- Filters — narrow to specific projects, people, or values.
- A time window — often a trailing number of periods.
BadgeOut saves the report's definition, so each time you open it the numbers are recalculated against current data. You can revisit and adjust the definition at any time.
Totals describe what's shown
A report's totals always reflect the rows currently displayed after your filters and thresholds are applied — so the summary matches the detail.
